Laura Campbell

Laura Campbell

Chair

I'm Laura, owner of Turnstone Management Systems, where we specialise in ISO, BRC standards, pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, and general legal compliance. After the devastating stillbirth of my daughter, Chloe, I was completely lost. I attended a wreath-making event in my hometown, where I happened to meet Selina and learned that The White Butterfly Foundation were looking for volunteers.

Meeting Selina was a turning point. From that very first conversation, it was clear the charity was something truly special, genuine, compassionate, and deeply personal. I knew I wanted to be part of it, and I firmly believe everyone should have access to one-to-one counselling when they need it most.

I'm now proud to be Chair, with the aim of raising funds and supporting The White Butterfly Foundation in every way I can, so we can continue to help as many families as possible through the heartbreak of miscarriage, baby loss, and neo-natal death.

Cathy Martin

Cathy Martin

Vice Chair

Cathy Martin is a well-known PR & Media expert in Northern Ireland, with a busy agency working for over two decades with clients which include global brands like Coca Cola & Primark as well as Charlotte Tilbury, Fraser’s, Victoria’s Secret, CastleCourt shopping centre & many more. She is a mum to thirteen year old Valentina, a rainbow baby born a year after her stillborn daughter Rosie.

After sharing Rosie’s story online, Cathy became a much-needed voice at the time for bereaved parents, at a loss for who to reach out to, and so was delighted to join The White Butterfly Foundation & the community surrounding this wonderful charity, having connected with Founder Selina online.

Board Member

Have been working as a midwife for over 26 years and following the death of my own daughter Aoife in 2004, I became involved with SANDS and volunteered as a Befriender/bereavement support volunteer.

I was very honoured to then take on a new role of Bereavement Support Midwife in Jan 2019 (SHSCT).

I first met Selina through this role and then joined her at one of the Tile Workshops as a bereaved mum. I feel very honoured to be a board member and help to support Selina while she continues to do great work within the bereavement/baby loss community

Carolyn McWilliams

Carolyn McWilliams

Secretary

Hi, I’m Carolyn, mummy of a 3 year old girl with another baby girl on the way. By day I’m a change management specialist and a White Butterfly Foundation board member and the boards acting secretary.

Whilst I have never personally experienced baby loss, when my bestie called me in 2021 after a routine scan with the heartbreaking news that her baby had died, I felt her pain deeply and like I’m sure so many others questioned what can I do? The answer is that I can’t really do anything to help take that pain away but what I can do is be an advocate and support for her and all of the other families who are dealing with unimaginable loss.

I vow to support the values and ethos of TWBF and to be a support to Selina in any and every way I can.
